Terms of Service
The plain-English rules for the Closed on Sunday video generator on closedonsunday.me: your account, the photo you upload, the choir you pick, credits and payments, and what you can do with your videos.
Last updated: 22 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and closedonsunday.me. We have written them in plain English, because rules you cannot understand do not protect anyone. By creating an account or using closedonsunday.me you agree to these terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
At a glance
- You must be 18 or older, and you may only upload photos you have the right to use, of adults who agreed to it.
- Sexual, violent, hateful, deceptive, infringing or illegal content is not allowed. Report misuse to hello@closedonsunday.me.
- You keep the rights to your photo, and you may use your videos on social media and for personal projects.
- We never claim ownership of your photo and never use it to train AI models.
- Finished videos may be shown on our homepage, but only while you leave the featuring permission on. It is on by default and you can switch it off at any time.
- You only pay for videos that finish. A failed render returns its credits automatically, and an unused pack can be refunded within 7 days. Packs do not renew, and they stay usable for 30 days.
The service
Closed on Sunday lets you upload one photo and generate a short AI music video: the figure in your photo stands perfectly still while a large choir sings and sways around them. You choose the choir from six preset scenes — dogs, cats, aliens, teddy bears, brides or skeletons. You do not supply the choir; it is a fixed scene on our side. Our step-by-step guide explains how it works.
AI models we use. Every video is made by a third-party AI video provider that takes your photo plus a fixed reference still of the choir scene and renders one continuous shot. We may switch provider or model version as the service develops; the current setup is described in our Privacy Policy, and we will name any new provider there before it receives your photo.
Closed on Sunday is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Kanye West, his label, or the rights holders of the song. Each video's soundtrack is generated to follow the original shot's own audio as closely as the model can. It is a fresh render of that sound, not a copy of the studio recording.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity on your account, so tell us right away if you think someone else has used it.
- One person, one account. Creating extra accounts to collect credits, free or otherwise, is not allowed and may lead to all of them being closed.
- You can close your account at any time by emailing hello@closedonsunday.me.
Photos you upload
You may only upload photos that you have the right to use, and people in your photos must be adults who agreed to appear in the video. Do not upload photos of:
- real children (anyone who is or appears to be under 18);
- anyone who did not consent;
- public figures, in a way that could make viewers believe the video is real.
Photos of pets and fictional characters are welcome, including drawn or animated child characters. You are responsible for having the right to use any character you upload.
Uploads are not automatically screened. Unlike services that check every photo before a render starts, we do not run an automatic content check at upload time. That means the rules above are enforced by you first and by us after the fact: content that breaks them is removed when it is reported, and accounts that break them are closed. Because a render may already have run by the time we see a photo, we cannot promise a credit refund for content that is later removed for breaking these terms.
Your rights in your photo and videos
Your photo stays yours. You keep all rights to the photo you upload. You give us a limited permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. That permission ends when you delete the photo or close your account.
Your videos are yours to use. Subject to these terms, you may download, keep and share the videos you make for personal use and on social media, including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and similar platforms. You do not need to credit Closed on Sunday, although we always appreciate it.
What we will not do with them. We do not claim ownership of your photo or videos and we do not use them to train AI models. The one way a video of yours can appear on this site is the featuring permission described below, which is on by default and which you can switch off at any time.
Being featured on the site
Every finished video carries a featuring permission. It is on by default: most people are happy for their clip to be shown, and asking after the fact would mean publishing first and asking later. You can switch it off right after a render finishes, and from My Videos for anything you have already made.
While it is on, we may pick that video for the “Featured Video” row on the homepage. That is the whole of it: we do not sell it, we do not use it in paid advertising, and we claim no rights in it. Switching the permission off takes the video out of that row on the next page load — there is no queue to wait in, and no request to send us.
We only feature videos we have watched and that finished rendering normally. We do not feature a video that shows someone who has not agreed to appear, or that would break the acceptable-use rules below.
Acceptable use
Please use Closed on Sunday to make fun videos, not to hurt anyone. The following kinds of content are not allowed, in the photo you upload or in the video you generate:
- Sexual content and minors. Nudity or sexual content of any kind, and any content that sexualises or endangers children.
- Violence and dangerous acts. Graphic violence, gore, terrorism, self-harm, or content that promotes weapons or dangerous behaviour.
- Hate and harassment. Content that attacks people for their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or nationality, and content that bullies, threatens or humiliates anyone.
- Deception and impersonation. Deepfakes made without the person's consent, impersonating or defaming a real person, or presenting a generated video as real footage of a real event.
- Copyright and trademark infringement. Content that infringes anyone's copyright, trademark or other intellectual property, such as characters, brand logos or artwork you do not have permission to use.
- Illegal activity. Content that is illegal where you live or where you share it, or that promotes fraud, scams or other illegal activity.
You also may not get around the credit system or our rate limits, attempt to reach other users' photos or videos, or scrape or overload the service.
How we enforce these rules. We may refuse to generate content, remove videos and suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where we can, we tell you why and give you a chance to respond. Content involving the abuse of children is reported to the relevant authorities.
Reporting content
If you see a video made with Closed on Sunday that breaks these rules, uses your face without your consent, or infringes your copyright or trademark, email hello@closedonsunday.me with the subject Content report. Please include:
- a link to or copy of the video, and where you found it;
- which rule you think it breaks, or which of your rights it infringes;
- for copyright or trademark reports, proof that you own the rights or are authorised to act for the owner.
We review every report within 2 business days. Content that breaks these terms is removed, and the account that made it may be suspended or closed.
AI output
Every video is generated fresh by AI, so results vary. Faces, motion and audio may not always match your expectations, and the same photo can give different results. A video that is simply not to your taste is not a fault, which is why the credits are only kept for videos that finish.
If a result is clearly broken — a missing or distorted face, a file that will not play, no audio at all — our Refund Policy explains how to get the credits back.
Credits and payments
| Topic | How it works |
|---|---|
| How you pay | One-time credit packs. There is no subscription and nothing renews. |
| What things cost | A standard video is 10 credits: 10 seconds at 768P. A shorter clip costs less — 6 credits at 6 seconds — and 1080P costs 10 to 30 credits depending on length. The exact price is shown before you generate. |
| Failed videos | Credits for a video that fails are returned to your balance automatically, with no request needed. |
| Timed-out videos | A render that has not finished within 15 minutes is marked failed and its credits are returned the next time you open My Videos. |
| Validity | Pack credits are usable for 30 days from purchase. The period is shown on the pricing page before you buy, and unused credits are not refundable after it ends. |
| Renewal | None. A pack is a single payment. |
| Restrictions | Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for money. |
| Prices and processing | Shown in US dollars before checkout. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record and handles sales tax. |
See current packs on the pricing page. Refunds — including automatic credit returns for failed videos and full refunds of unused packs within 7 days — follow our Refund Policy.
Availability
We work hard to keep the service running, but like any online service it may sometimes be slow or unavailable, for example during maintenance or when our AI provider has an outage. If a video fails because of this, its credits are returned automatically. We may add, change or remove features over time, and we will never remove credits you have already paid for without offering a refund.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Closed on Sunday is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country you live in.
You are responsible for the photo you upload and for how you use your videos. If someone makes a claim against us because you broke these terms — for example by uploading a photo without consent — you agree to cover the costs that result.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using Closed on Sunday and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. In serious cases, such as uploading photos of children or fraud, we may do so without notice. If we close your account for any other reason, we will refund any unused credits from packs you paid for.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service grows. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change significantly affects your rights, we will announce it on the site before it takes effect. If you do not agree with a change, you can stop using the service and ask for a refund of unused credits under our Refund Policy.
Questions
Closed on Sunday is run by a small, independent team. If anything here is unclear, email hello@closedonsunday.me and a real person will answer within 2 business days.
